Niall Finnegan BA, LLB – Partner

Education & Qualifications:

Niall attended Gormanston College, County Meath and is an honours graduate BA in Law & Economics and post graduate LLB of NUIG.

Niall joined BCF in 1995 and became a partner in 1998.

Niall is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and worked previously for Guinness Group Sales now Diageo.

Legal experience:

Niall has extensive experience and knowledge on all aspects of commercial conveyancing and provides panel services to a large financial institution in the provision of commercial mortgages.

Niall has also acted for private clients, SMEs and publicly listed companies in the acquisition, disposal and leasing of commercial properties.

Niall oversees the residential conveyancing department of BCF which provides a first class service to new first time buyer and existing clients when buying, selling or re-financing their properties, both in the second hand and new build markets.

Niall has acted for Owner’s Management Companies and advised on all aspects of the Multi-Unit Developments Act, 2011 (MUDA).

Niall has also advised multi-national insurance companies in defending product liability, professional indemnity, personal injury and building dispute claims.

Niall has a particular expertise in the area of debt recovery and has advised private clients, SMEs and lending institutions on all aspects of Plaintiff debt collection, recovery and enforcement.

Niall also has a wealth of experience in advising private, SME and publicly listed clients in the area of Employment Law and has represented both employer and employee clients in the Labour, Circuit and High Courts and also before the EAT, Labour Relations Commission and the Equality Tribunal now under the auspices of the Workplace Relations Commission.

Niall has also acted on behalf of Plaintiff clients in pursuing personal injury and medical negligence claims.

Niall also has a specialist expertise and has acted for Financial Credit Institutions in the repossession of secured properties throughout Ireland in the Circuit, High and Supreme Court jurisdictions. Niall has advised and guided his Lender clients through all stages of the debt recovery and repossession process from the initial 7 day demand letters to court proceedings and ultimately the repossession and securing of the property assets and realisation and sale of the asset recovered by way of Receiver sale or sale as Mortgagee in Possession.
