Education & Qualifications:
Gerard founded the practice in 1993, having graduated from University College Dublin with a BCL (Honours) degree. Gerard was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1989 and qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Taxation in 1990.
Gerard is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, AITI (1990) and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
Legal Experience:
Gerard has considerable experience and advises clients in a wide range of areas of corporate and contract law, drafting and advising on commercial contracts across a broad spectrum of industries to include the hotel & licensing trade, sports, health and recreational, lending, insurance and financial services, property management and services; retail, information technology and others.
Gerard also has a vast knowledge of conveyancing law having acted in and advised on many commercial and residential transactions throughout his career, including commercial sales and purchases, lending, taxation, stamp duty and VAT.
Gerard has also advised corporate clients on governance, procurement and compliance issues. Gerard has advised on all aspects of civil law and in particular multi-national insurance companies on product liability, professional indemnity, personal injury and building dispute claims. Gerard also has extensive experience in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution and in particular Arbitration.
